Drake has reclaimed the spotlight with his latest track, “Family Matters,” putting the ball firmly back in his court after Kendrick Lamar’s barrage of diss tracks, “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA.” In this fiery response, Drake addresses Lamar’s jabs head-on, particularly hitting back at Lamar’s critique of his fatherhood with lines like, “You mentioned my seed, now deal with his dad, I gotta go bad, I gotta go bad.” Not stopping there, Drake throws shade at Lamar’s collaborators, including Dave Free, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, and Baby Keem.

But Drake doesn’t reserve his lyrical punches solely for Lamar; he takes aim at other hip-hop figures who’ve recently challenged him. From Metro Boomin to Future and Rick Ross, no one seems to escape Drake’s verbal onslaught. Notably, Drake also confronts the fallout from his controversial “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which faced backlash from 2Pac’s estate. Dismissing the cease-and-desist as trivial, Drake scoffs at the notion, asserting, “A cease-and-desist is for hoes.”

However, the most biting moment comes when Drake insinuates domestic abuse allegations against Lamar, suggesting a crisis management team was hired to cover up such accusations. It’s a deeply personal attack, albeit one unsupported by public accusations against Lamar.

“Family Matters” marks Drake’s third diss track against Lamar this season, following “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.” His feud with Lamar, reignited by the “We Don’t Trust You” track “Like That,” shows no signs of simmering down.

For deeper insights, reviews of “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA,” as well as breakdowns like Alphonse Pierre’s “A Power Ranking of Everyone in the Drake–Kendrick Lamar–Every Rapper Ever Battle Royale,” offer further context into this ongoing rap saga.
